Welcome to the Refugee Union’s monthly roundup!
The Refugee Union was founded in 2014 by a group of refugees in Hong Kong. We are a union of refugees dedicated to empowering the refugee community by safeguarding their rights and improving their wellbeing.
Activities at a Glance
This month, we held a series of activities at the center, bringing warmth and practical support to the refugees. For example, a group of students visited our center and organised art classes for the children. We were also glad to have volunteers organise a health checkup session for adults. We sincerely thank all the volunteers for their support.
This month, we have also received many useful donated items, ranging from daily necessities to children’s toys. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to everyone who has extended a helping hand. Your support means a lot to us. We continue to welcome donations, which will be distributed to many refugee families that have not received sufficient government assistance.

Welcome to the Refugee Union’s monthly roundup!

Activities at a Glance
This month, we held a series of activities at the center. It brought warmth and practical support to the refugees. Among them, our intern Fiona, a student from Hong Kong Shue Yan University, organised meaningful cultural workshops for members over several consecutive weeks, teaching us how to make Chinese New Year fai chun, tong yuen (glutinous rice balls), iced skin mooncakes and herbal sachets. We sincerely thank all the volunteers for their empathy and dedication, which have brought about changes in the lives of refugees.
This month, we have also received many useful donated items, ranging from daily necessities to children’s toys. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to everyone who has extended a helping hand. Your support means a lot to us. We continue to welcome donations, which will be distributed to many refugee families that have not received sufficient government assistance.

Among them, a group of students from Paragon organised sports games and activities for children at a local park. They also arranged a picnic featuring delicious baked goods for the children, while parents enjoyed the opportunity to sit and socialise.
We sincerely thank all the volunteers for their empathy and dedication, which have brought about changes in the lives of refugees.

Among them, students from the Hong Kong International School host homework tutoring courses for refugee children. In addition, volunteers from the Hong Kong Equal Wellness Outreach also came to our center and arranged a health checkup for our members to help everyone stay healthy.
We sincerely thank all the volunteers for their empathy and dedication, which have brought about changes in the lives of refugees.
