May Roundup

Welcome to the Refugee Union’s monthly roundup!

The Refugee Union was founded in 2014 by a group of refugees in Hong Kong. We are a union of refugees dedicated to empowering the refugee community by safeguarding their rights and improving their wellbeing.

Activities at a Glance

This month, we held a series of activities at the centre, bringing warmth and practical support to refugees. Among them, high school students from Project Open Doors organised tutoring sessions and interactive workshops to empower refugee children through mentorship.

Students from University YMCA (CCC CUHK) also organised a campus tour and an art workshop for children and young people.

This month, we have also received many useful donated items, ranging from daily necessities to children’s toys. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to everyone who has extended a helping hand. Your support means a lot to us. We continue to welcome donations, which will be distributed to many refugee families that have not received sufficient government assistance.
