Forty dollars a day is all refugees in Hong Kong receive for food. For over a decade, this allowance has stayed the same, while the cost of living has soared. We are mothers, fathers and children who fled danger to seek safety here, but we are not allowed to work. Every meal, every roof over our heads, depends on the kindness of people like you.

The Refugee Union is Hong Kong’s only refugee‑led society, founded in 2014 to protect the rights and dignity of our community. We are run by refugees, for refugees — which means we understand the needs first‑hand.
