November Roundup

Welcome to the Refugee Union’s monthly update! This month we have been working as usual to empower the refugee community in Hong Kong.

About Us

Our centre was founded in 2014 by a group of refugees and asylum seekers in Hong Kong. We are dedicated to empowering the refugee community by safeguarding their rights and improving their wellbeing.

Activities at a Glance

On 7 November, we were thrilled to welcome a group of students from the Chinese International School who organised a badminton class for our children. The kids all had fun!

On 9 November, we were glad to have Ms Amanda Mitchell visit our centre and organise a reading class with our children. On the same day, we also had Ms Vivian Lau deliver a baking class for our kids. Thank you for spending time with our children.

On 23 November, Samson from the Chinese International School visited us again to deliver a Financial Literacy Class for our children. It is always beneficial to equip them with awareness and knowledge of financial planning as early as possible.

This month, we received a wide range of useful item donations. We would like to express our gratitude to those who have lent a helping hand. Your support means a lot to us. We welcome large donations which are allocated to distribute to many refugee families who do not receive sufficient government assistance.
